From the sun-kissed Southern coasts to the historic ruins of Rome, Italy is a country bursting with culture, art, and legendary cuisine. After spending 25 incredible days exploring this European gem, one couple shares their experience and recommends the best things to do in Italy.

Start with Rome, the Eternal City, where ancient history meets vibrant modern life. Visit the awe-inspiring Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Pantheon to soak in thousands of years of history. Don’t miss out on tossing a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure a return trip to Rome!

Heading north, Florence is a haven for art lovers. The Uffizi Gallery houses works by Renaissance masters like Botticelli and Michelangelo. Meanwhile, the sight of Brunelleschi’s Duomo rising above the cityscape is unforgettable. For a romantic twist, climb to Piazzale Michelangelo at sunset for breathtaking views.

In Venice, meander through picturesque canals and bridges, making sure to savor a gondola ride. Explore St. Mark’s Basilica and the Dodge’s Palace for a glimpse into Venice’s opulent past. Enjoy cicchetti (Venetian tapas) at a local bacaro bar before witnessing glassblowing on the island of Murano.

The Amalfi Coast offers a spectacular blend of natural beauty and luxury. Spend lazy days in Positano or Capri, lounging on pebbled beaches or chartering a boat to explore hidden coves and sea caves. Dining on fresh seafood while gazing at cliffside villages twinkling under starlight is pure magic.

Tuscany’s rolling hills are dotted with vineyards perfect for wine tastings and rustic farmhouses offering authentic cooking classes. Cycle through countryside roads lined with cypress trees and discover medieval towns like Siena and San Gimignano.

For a unique experience, visit Sicily’s Valley of the Temples in Agrigento or climb Mount Etna – an active volcano! Sicilian culture is rich with Greek and Arabic influences that shine through its architecture and food.

Finally, indulge in Italy’s culinary delights every chance you get. From creamy gelato to wood-fired Neapolitan pizza – each region boasts its specialties that must be tasted.

Italy captivates with its endless offerings – it promises an unforgettable adventure for any traveler!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
