Frequently Asked Questions

What should I keep in my teacher bag?

Teachers have lots of things to bring, and with all the stuff you’d want to put in your bag, it’s easy to forget a few important things.  To keep you ready for the day at work or wherever you may go after, we’ve listed essential things that you should always have in your bag.

1. Personal Care Kit

Having a ready personal care kit with a comb, a lip balm, deodorant and a hand sanitizer at the very least helps you freshen up in between classes.  It is most especially helpful when a parent suddenly comes to talk to you after class.

2. First Aid Supply

Keeping a few pieces of band-aid, pain relievers and fever medicine readily available in your bag could help you through when you’re suddenly feeling under the weather.

3. Protein or Chocolate Bar

Protein bars make good snacks. Keeping one in your bag allows you to re-energize whenever you are too busy or drained from a day’s work.

4. Breath Mints

Teachers interact with people all day long, may it be with students, colleagues, or parents.  Keeping a fresh breath after you had that cup of coffee, garlic stick, or whatever food you had eaten is important.  It pays to have a breath mint that you can pop in, especially during sudden parent-teacher conferences.

5. Pen and Post Its

Though many people take notes on their mobile phones and tablets nowadays, carrying the good old pen and post-it in your bag gives you the convenience of writing reminders for students and colleagues and the sanitariness of not having to share a public pen whenever you need to sign something in public places.

There might be more things that you would want to put in your bag, but these five are the essentials.  Make sure you always have them ready in your bags

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
