Introduction:

Surf ‘n Turf is a beloved classic dish that combines the best of both worlds: mouth-watering seafood and succulent steak. In this article, we’ll share a simple and delicious recipe for making Surf ‘n Turf Foil Packs that will impress your family and friends at your next gathering. The foil packs ensure an even cooking process and make clean-up a breeze!

Ingredients:

– 1 lb of medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 1 lb of top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1 lb of baby potatoes, halved

– 1 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved

– 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter

– 3 cloves of minced garlic

– 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley

– Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

Wash and prep all the ingredients by following these steps:

– Peel and devein shrimp;

– Cut top sirloin steak into cubes;

– Halve baby potatoes and cherry tomatoes;

– Mince garlic;

– Chop fresh parsley.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients in a Large Bowl

In a large mixing bowl, add the shrimp, steak cubes, baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley to create the mixture for your foil packs. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to suit your taste preferences.

Step 3: Assemble the Foil Packs

Tear off four large pieces of aluminum foil (approximately 12 inches by 18 inches). Divide the Surf ‘n Turf mixture evenly between the four sheets. Bring up the ends of the foil to create a tent-like structure over the ingredients. Then, fold and crimp the edges to seal the foil packs tightly, leaving a bit of space for steam to accumulate during cooking.

Step 4: Cook the Foil Packs

Preheat your grill or oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the foil packs on the grill grates or a baking sheet in the oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the shrimp is pink, steak has reached your desired doneness, and potatoes are fork-tender.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

Carefully open each foil pack, being mindful of the steam that will escape. Plate the ingredients and drizzle any remaining buttery garlic sauce from the foil pack over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy this incredible Surf ‘n Turf Foil Packs dish with friends and family!

Conclusion:

This Surf ‘n Turf Foil Packs recipe offers a perfect balance of flavors that will satisfy seafood lovers and meat enthusiasts alike. Plus, it’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion. Give this recipe a try at your next gathering or BBQ event — it’s bound to be a hit!
