Introduction:

Puppy chow, also known as Muddy Buddies, is a delicious snack made with cereal, chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. This sweet treat is perfect for parties, movie nights, or just when you’re craving something tasty. In this article, we will guide you through the process of making the best puppy chow recipe that will have your family and friends begging for more!

Ingredients:

– 9 cups of crispy rice square cereal (such as Rice Chex)

– 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

– 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter

– 1/4 cup of unsalted butter

– 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

– 1 and 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

Instructions:

1. Gather all your ingredients and measure them out so they’re ready to go.

2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and unsalted butter. Microwave the mixture on high for 45 seconds to a minute. Stir the mixture until it’s smooth and creamy. If necessary, heat in additional 15-second increments until fully melted.

3. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4. Place the cereal into a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal gradually while stirring gently to coat each piece evenly.

5. Once all pieces are coated with the chocolate mixture, let them cool for about 5 minutes.

6. Now it’s time for the powdered sugar! Place half of it into a large resealable plastic bag or container with a tight-fitting lid.

7. Add half of the coated cereal into the bag or container along with the powdered sugar. Seal it tight and gently shake until all cereal pieces are evenly covered in sugar.

8. Remove coated cereal from container/bag onto some parchment paper or a cooling rack to let it finish setting.

9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 with the remaining powdered sugar and cereal to finish up!

10. Once the puppy chow has dried, store it in an airtight container, where it can last for up to a week – if it lasts that long!

Conclusion:

This best puppy chow recipe will leave your taste buds wanting more! Easy to make, with only a few ingredients, this delightful snack is perfect for almost any occasion. Try making this tasty treat at home and enjoy a sweet and satisfying snack with your family and friends.
