Are you a fan of pecan pie and brownies? If so, you’re in for a treat with this delicious and easy-to-make recipe: Pecan Pie Brownies. These decadent dessert squares combine the rich, nutty flavor of pecan pie with the fudgy, chocolatey goodness of brownies. Follow this simple guide to create a scrumptious, crowd-pleasing treat that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

For the brownie layer:

– 1 box (18.3 oz) fudge brownie mix

– Ingredients required by the box mix (usually eggs, oil, and water)

For the pecan pie layer:

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup light brown sugar, packed

– 1 cup light corn syrup

– 4 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

– 2 cups pecans halves or pieces

Instructions:

1. Prepare the brownie batter: Follow the instructions on the fudge brownie mix box to prepare the batter. You will typically combine eggs, oil, and water with the boxed mix.

2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

3. Pour the prepared brownie batter into your lined baking pan and spread it out evenly using a rubber spatula or a flat spoon.

4. Bake the brownie layer in your preheated oven for 20 minutes. It should be partially baked but still soft when you remove it from the oven.

5. While the brownie layer is baking, prepare the pecan pie filling. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, light brown sugar, light corn syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until smooth and well combined.

6. Gently fold the pecans into the mixture until they are evenly distributed.

7. Once the brownie layer is partially baked, carefully pour your pecan pie filling over the brownie layer in the pan. Use a spatula or spoon to smooth out the filling so that it covers the entire brownie layer.

8. Return the baking pan to the oven and bake for an additional 35-40 minutes, or until the pecan pie filling is set and no longer jiggles when you shake the pan.

9. Remove the pan from the oven and allow your pecan pie brownies to cool completely on a wire rack.

10. Once completely cooled, use the parchment paper or foil overhang to lift your pecan pie brownies out of the pan and onto a cutting board.

11. Cut into squares with a sharp knife and serve your delicious pecan pie brownies!

These delightful Pecan Pie Brownies are perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings, or simply as an indulgent treat for yourself. They’re sure to impress any pecan pie enthusiast or chocolate lover in your life! Enjoy!
