Introduction:

Pasta Puttanesca is a flavorful and easy-to-make Italian dish that has won the hearts of food enthusiasts across the globe. The combination of pasta with a rich, savory sauce creates an explosion of taste that will leave you wanting more. In this article, we’ll be sharing the best Pasta Puttanesca recipe to help you create this classic meal at home.

Ingredients:

– 12oz spaghetti or linguine

– 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

– 1 (28oz) can crushed tomatoes

– 1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives, halved

– 3 anchovy fillets, finely chopped

– 2 tbsp capers, drained

– Salt and black pepper, to taste

– 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

– 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.

2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for about a minute until fragrant.

3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, olives, anchovies, and capers. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Taste the sauce and add salt and black pepper as needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a little bit of reserved pasta water to thin it out.

5. Once the pasta is cooked and drained, add it to the skillet with your sauce. Toss it together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.

6. Remove the skillet from heat, then sprinkle chopped basil and parsley over the pasta. Toss it again to combine everything together.

7. Serve your Pasta Puttanesca with crusty bread or a side salad for a complete meal.

Conclusion:

This simple Pasta Puttanesca recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner. With its robust flavors and easy preparation, it’s no wonder this classic Italian dish has become a household favorite around the world. Now that you have the best recipe, go ahead and indulge in this delicious, savory meal!
