Best Jell-O Recipes – Easy Recipes That Use Jello

Introduction:

Jell-O is a versatile, delicious, and easy-to-make dessert that has been a beloved staple in many households. With its various flavors and the colorful, jiggly appeal, there’s no wonder why it remains a favorite treat for many. In this article, we explore some of the best Jell-O recipes that are both easy to make and absolutely delightful.

1. Classic Jell-O Mold

Ingredients:

– 1 large box (6 oz) of any flavored Jell-O

– 2 cups boiling water

– 2 cups cold water

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water. Stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.

2. Add cold water and mix well.

3. Pour the mixture into a mold or glass baking dish.

4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before serving.

2. Layered Rainbow Jell-O

Ingredients:

– 6 small boxes (3 oz) of different flavored Jell-O (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple)

– 6 cups boiling water (1 cup for each layer)

– 3 cups cold water (1/2 cup for each layer)

Instructions:

1. Dissolve each Jell-O flavor separately in 1 cup of boiling water.

2. Add ½ cup of cold water to each dissolved Jell-O flavor.

3. Starting with the desired color, pour the first layer into a glass baking dish or mold.

4. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until set but not firm.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each color layer until all layers are complete.

6. It takes around 30 minutes to set between each layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight after completing all layers.

3. Jell-O Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

– 1 large box (6 oz) of your favorite Jell-O flavor

– 2 cups boiling water

– 1 can (15 oz) fruit cocktail, drained

– 2 cups whipped topping

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water. Stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.

2. Add the drained fruit cocktail and mix.

3. Pour the mixture into a mold or glass baking dish.

4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before serving.

5. Once set, top with whipped topping.

4. Jell-O Poke Cake

Ingredients:

– 1 box of white cake mix (and ingredients required to make the cake)

– 1 small box (3 oz) of your favorite Jell-O flavor

– 1 cup boiling water

– ½ cup cold water

– 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Instructions:

1. Bake the cake according to the package instructions using a 9×13-inch pan. Let it cool completely.

2. Poke holes evenly across the surface of the cooled cake with a fork or straw.

3. Dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water and add cold water, then mix.

4. Pour the Jell-O mixture evenly over the surface of the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes.

5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.

6. Spread whipped topping on top of the cake and serve.
