Introduction:

Fried ravioli is a popular appetizer that can be found in numerous Italian-American restaurants. With its crispy exterior and hot, gooey filling, it’s hard not to fall in love with this delicious treat. Thankfully, making fried ravioli at home is easier than you might think! Today, we are going to share the best fried ravioli recipe so that you can enjoy this tasty dish from the comfort of your own kitchen.

Ingredients:

1 package (12 oz) store-bought fresh or frozen cheese-filled ravioli

1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

Vegetable oil, for frying

Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dredging Station: In a shallow bowl or plate, combine the Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well and set aside. In another shallow bowl or plate, place the all-purpose flour and set aside. In a third bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.

2. Dredge the Ravioli: If using frozen ravioli, thaw them according to package instructions before proceeding with this step. One by one, coat each ravioli in flour by gently pressing both sides into the flour. Next, dip them into the beaten eggs followed by a generous coating of breadcrumb mixture. Ensure that every side is coated well and let them rest on a wire rack or baking sheet.

3. Preheat Oil: In a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat, heat about 1 1/2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) using a deep-fry thermometer.

4. Fry Ravioli: Carefully lower 3-4 pieces of breaded ravioli into the hot oil using a spider strainer or slotted spoon. Do not overcrowd the pan. Fry for approximately 2-3 minutes or until the ravioli turns golden brown, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. Once fried, use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked ravioli onto a paper towel-lined plate.

5. Serve Hot: Continue frying in small batches allowing the oil to return to temperature in between batches. When all ravioli is cooked, transfer them onto a serving platter and serve immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Conclusion:

There you have it – the best fried ravioli recipe! Now you can impress your friends and family members with your homemade version of this Italian-American classic. Pair it with an assortment of other appetizers or enjoy it as a standalone dish; either way, these crispy, cheesy delights are sure to be a hit at any party or family gathering.
