Introduction:

Baked cod is a simple yet satisfying dish that’s perfect for those nights when you want a delicious and healthy meal without spending hours in the kitchen. In this article, we will share with you the best easy baked cod recipe that even beginners can master. It’s time to impress your family and friends with a mouth-watering, perfectly cooked baked cod dish.

Ingredients:

– 4 cod fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 2 tablespoons butter, melted

– Juice of 1 lemon

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 teaspoon dried parsley

– Optional: lemon wedges and fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with non-stick spray or olive oil.

2. Rinse the cod fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Transfer the fillets to the prepared baking dish, making sure they are not overlapping.

3. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, olive oil, and lemon juice. Season this mixture with salt and pepper according to your taste preference.

4. Sprinkle the garlic powder, paprika, and dried parsley evenly over the cod fillets. Then drizzle the butter mixture over the top of each fillet.

5. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your fillets, so you’ll want to keep an eye on them.

6. Remove the baked cod from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving your delightful dish.

7. (Optional) Garnish the baked cod with lemon wedges and fresh parsley to enhance its presentation and add a pop of color to your plate.

Conclusion:

With this easy baked cod recipe, you can now enjoy a healthy and flavorful meal without breaking a sweat. In under 20 minutes, you can create a masterpiece that will leave your taste buds craving more. So go ahead and treat yourself and your loved ones to this amazing dish – happy cooking!
