Spread the love

If you’re in the mood for a delicious and unique dinner option, look no further than this mouthwatering recipe for Dr. Pepper Chicken. The combination of sweet and savory flavors from the Dr. Pepper soda beautifully blend with the tender and juicy chicken, creating an explosion of taste that’s simply irresistible.

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1 cup Dr. Pepper

– 1/3 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

– 1/3 cup brown sugar

– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

– Salt, to taste

– Optional: Chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the Dr. Pepper, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.

3. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle both sides with a pinch of salt if desired.

4. Pour the Dr. Pepper mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring each piece is fully coated.

5. Bake the chicken for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the chicken with the sauce every 10 minutes during baking to keep it juicy and flavorful.

6. Optional step: If you prefer crispy edges on your chicken, place the dish under your oven’s broiler for an additional 2 to 3 minutes after reaching the desired internal temperature.

7. Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.

8. Garnish the chicken with chopped cilantro or parsley and serve hot, alongside your favorite side dishes.

Get ready to enjoy a delicious and unforgettable Dr. Pepper Chicken dinner that will certainly impress your friends and family. The sweet and smoky flavors are sure to leave everyone craving for more!
