Spread the love

As a loving pet owner, you likely already spend a significant amount on food, treats, toys, and veterinary care for your furry friend. However, you could be getting more out of your expenses with the right credit card. Let us introduce you to the best credit cards designed specifically for pet owners. These cards not only provide excellent rewards but also additional perks and discounts on pet-related purchases.

1. Chase Freedom Unlimited

Chase Freedom Unlimited is an excellent choice for pet owners due to its generous cashback rewards program. With this card, you earn 1.5% cash back on all purchases, including those made for your pets. This means that every time you purchase food, pay for grooming services or buy toys for your beloved pet, you’ll earn cash back rewards that can be redeemed later on.

2. Wells Fargo Pet Rewards Visa

Wells Fargo Pet Rewards Visa is explicitly designed with pet owners in mind. You will earn 5x points for every dollar spent at participating veterinary offices, as well as 3x points when purchasing groceries and filling up at the gas station. If that wasn’t enough, this card offers 1x point on all other purchases.

3. Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card

Bank of America’s Cash Rewards Credit Card is a suitable option if you already have a Bank of America account since it offers higher cash back rates on select categories each quarter, including pet stores and vet services. Cardholders receive 2% cash back on grocery store and wholesale club purchases and 3% on a category of your choice (including online shopping or gas stations), up to $2,500 spent each quarter.

4. American Express Blue Cash Preferred Card

The Amex Blue Cash Preferred Card focuses on rewarding users who spend in key categories like groceries and gas – both essential expenses for pet owners. The card provides 6% cash back on purchases made at U.S. supermarkets (up to $6,000 annually), 3% on gas station purchases, and select transit spending, and 1% on all other purchases.

5. Discover it Cash Back Card

Discover’s cashback credit card is a good option for pet owners who aren’t particularly loyal to specific pet stores or brands. The Discover it Cash Back Card offers a rotating selection of categories that earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases each quarter. Past bonus categories have included wholesale clubs and Walmart – perfect for purchasing pet supplies in bulk.

In conclusion, there are plenty of credit card options for responsible pet owners who want to maximize their rewards and benefits when purchasing goods and services for their furry friends. Signing up for one of these cards allows you to make the most of your spending by earning rewards, discounts, and other perks tailored to the lifestyle of pet owners. Take some time to compare these options and pick the one that suits your spending habits best. Happy shopping (and wagging)!

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
