Introduction:

Cinnamon apple chips are a healthy, delicious, and easy-to-make snack perfect for satisfying cravings. The irresistible combination of sweet apples and warm cinnamon is a delight for the taste buds. In this article, we will explore the best cinnamon apple chips recipe and show you how to make these delightful treats in no time!

Ingredients:

– 4 medium-sized apples (choose any sweet and crunchy variety)

– Fresh lemon juice (from one lemon)

– 3 tablespoons white sugar

– 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the apples by washing them thoroughly and removing any stickers. Slice off the top and bottom of each apple to create a flat surface.

3. Use a mandoline slicer or sharp knife to thinly slice the apples into rounds, approximately 1/8-inch (3mm) thick.

4. Put the apple slices into a bowl and toss them with the fresh lemon juice to prevent browning.

5. In a separate small bowl, mix together the white sugar and ground cinnamon to create your cinnamon-sugar blend.

6. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, making sure not to overlap them.

7. Lightly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the apple slices according to your taste preference.

8. Place both baking sheets in the preheated oven, one on each rack, ideally with some space between them for proper air circulation.

9. Bake for approximately 1 hour and then flip over each apple slice using tongs or a spatula—this will ensure even cooking.

10. Continue baking for another hour or until the apple slices are crispy, but not burnt.

11. Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the cinnamon apple chips cool on the parchment paper for 10–15 minutes. This will allow them to crisp up further.

12. Store your cinnamon apple chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. They can also be refrigerated or frozen to extend their shelf life.

Conclusion:

Cinnamon apple chips are not only an addictive snack but also an excellent way to make use of fresh apples during the apple season. They’re perfect for school lunches, work snacks, or as a tasty treat while watching your favorite movie. Once you’ve mastered this simple recipe, feel free to experiment with other spices or even try making chips with different fruits. Enjoy this healthy and delectable snack without any guilt!
