As the year comes to a close and the holiday season approaches, it’s time to gather with loved ones, enjoy hot cocoa and Christmas cookies, and cozy up to watch some of the best Christmas movies on Netflix.

Finding the perfect Christmas movie can be challenging, but with so many titles available on Netflix, you’re bound to find one that suits your mood. From classic movies to romantic comedies, the streaming platform has a wide selection of festive flicks to choose from.

Here are some of the best Christmas movies to watch on Netflix this year:

1. “The Christmas Chronicles” (2018): This Netflix original movie stars Kurt Russell as Santa Claus and follows the adventures of two siblings who team up with him to save Christmas.

2. “A Christmas Prince” (2017): This romantic comedy follows a journalist who goes undercover to investigate a handsome prince, but ends up falling in love with him instead. The film has two sequels, “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding” and “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.”

3. “The Polar Express” (2004): This animation movie based on the children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg tells the story of a young boy who embarks on a magical train ride to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

4. “A Very Murray Christmas” (2015): This comedy special stars Bill Murray as himself, trying to host a live TV special during a snowstorm. Featuring celebrity guests and musical performances, this is a must-watch for fans of Murray’s quirky humor.

5. “Holiday in the Wild” (2019): Starring Kristin Davis and Rob Lowe, this romantic comedy follows a divorcée who takes a solo safari trip to Africa over Christmas and falls in love with a wildlife conservationist.

6. “The Knight Before Christmas” (2019): This romantic comedy stars Vanessa Hudgens as a high school teacher who meets a time-traveling medieval knight on Christmas Eve.

7. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000): This live-action adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ beloved book stars Jim Carrey as the grumpy Grinch who hatches a plan to ruin Christmas for the citizens of Whoville.

8. “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” (2020): This new Netflix original movie is a musical fantasy adventure about a toymaker who gets his mojo back with the help of his granddaughter.
