In the age of technology, buying and selling used books has never been easier. With the help of various mobile apps, you can quickly locate books you’ve been searching for and sell books you no longer need. Here are some of the best apps for buying and selling pre-owned books:

1. Amazon Kindle App: Amazon is the biggest online marketplace and offers a wide range of pre-owned books. With the Kindle app, you can browse, purchase and download books to your mobile device or tablet from Amazon’s vast collection. You can also easily access the used book section and search for books at discounted prices.

2. BookFinder: BookFinder is a free app for iOS and Android that allows you to search for used books from various online booksellers. You can filter your search results by author, title, ISBN, and even by the condition of the book. BookFinder provides results from over 100,000 booksellers worldwide, making it easier for you to find the book you want at the right price.

3. ThriftBooks: ThriftBooks is a popular app for purchasing used books. With over 13 million titles, they offer a vast collection of literature, textbooks, and rare finds. It’s easy to use, search for your desired book, and receive recommendations for similar titles. With its competitive pricing, you’re bound to find the book you’re looking for at an affordable price.

4. Half-Price Books: This app brings the popular physical bookstore, Half-Price Books, as a digital version. The app provides access to a massive collection of secondhand books at discounted prices. It also offers in-app barcode scanning to quickly identify the books on your bookshelf that you’re looking to sell. You can then quickly list your books and receive an offer from the store.

5. Powell’s Books: Powell’s Books is one of the largest independent booksellers online and offers a wide variety of used books. On its app, you can search for specific titles or browse different categories of books, and even receive personalized recommendations. Additionally, you can sell your used books to Powell’s, either by listing them online, or bringing them to one of their physical stores.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
