Baldur’s Gate 3: Best Barbarian Multiclass Build

Spread the love

As Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to captivate players with its expansive world and deep role-playing mechanics, building the ultimate character is a quest in itself. For those who delight in the raw power and primal warfare of Barbarians but yearn for a taste of versatility, a multiclass build is the answer. Embracing a second class can transform your Barbarian from a mere brute into a nuanced warrior with tricks up their sleeve.

Why Multiclass Your Barbarian?

The strengths of a Barbarian lie in their ability to deal damage and absorb hits. Multiclassing can augment these strengths or shore up weaknesses. It could grant you access to healing spells, sneaky maneuvers, or improved tactical options in combat.

The Best Multiclass Options for Your Barbarian

When considering a secondary class, you want to make sure it complements your Barbarian’s playstyle and abilities.

1.Fighter: The Fighter’s martial prowess adds to your melee might. With the additional fighting style, extra attacks, and Action Surge feature, you can become an relentless force on the battlefield.

2.Rogue: If finesse and strategy are more your flavor, Rogue offers sneak attacks for extra damage and abilities that enhance your mobility and stealth—perfect for catching enemies off guard.

3.Druid: Perhaps unconventional but no less potent, taking levels in Druid can allow you to cast spells that harness the forces of nature or even transform into creatures with own combat benefits.

Multiclass Build Recommendation for Baldur’s Gate 3

Starting as a Barbarian for at least five levels gives you access to Extra Attack and proficiency bonuses. Afterwards, consider these steps:

1.Take at least two levels in Fighter to gain a Fighting Style (Dueling or Great Weapon Fighting are ideal) and Action Surge.

2.If preferring a bit more cunning, three levels into Rogue unlocks Roguish Archetypes like Assassin or Swashbuckler.

3.Select Druid if you want spellcasting abilities; two levels will give you Wild Shape and some utility spells.

Remember the Ability Score prerequisites—multiclassing into these classes requires Strength 13 (for Fighter) as well as Dexterity 13 (for Rogue), or Wisdom 13 (for Druid).

Final Tips:

– Keep leveling up in your secondary class only until you attain the features that complement your playstyle.

– Focus on increasing Strength for physical prowess, but also consider Constitution for increased health and resilience.

– Communicate with your party—a balanced team where each member knows their role leads to victory.

Embrace the diversity of skills your multiclass Barbarian will bring to the table, and watch as they become not only a warrior of rage but also an adaptable hero poised for any challenge Balder’s Gate 3 throws their way.
