Audible Tips to Get the Most Out of Audible

Audible is the world’s largest producer and distributor of audiobooks, with over 400,000 titles available for download. It’s a great platform for reading while on the go, and it can help you get through those long commutes or even make household chores more interesting.

However, like any platform, Audible can be daunting to new users. If you’re just getting started with Audible, or if you’ve been using it for a while but aren’t getting the most out of it, here are some tips to help you get started:

1. Choose the right membership: Audible offers three different membership levels – Gold, Platinum, and Audible Plus. The Gold and Platinum memberships come with credits that can be used to buy audiobooks, while the Audible Plus membership gives you unlimited access to the Audible Plus Catalog of audiobooks, podcasts, and originals. Choose the membership level that works best for you and your reading needs.

2. Use Whispersync for Voice: If you also own the Kindle version of an audiobook, you can use Whispersync for Voice to seamlessly switch between reading and listening. This is especially handy if you’re reading a book on your Kindle during the day and want to listen to it on your commute home.

3. Make use of the Audible app: The Audible app is available for iOS and Android devices, as well as for Windows and Mac computers. The app makes it easy to buy and download books, and you can also listen to audiobooks offline.

4. Check out the Daily Deal: Audible’s Daily Deal features a different audiobook every day at a discounted price. Make sure to check it out every day to see if there’s a book you’re interested in.

5. Look for books with a Whispersync deal: Some audiobooks come with a Whispersync deal, which means you can get the Kindle version of the book for a discounted price if you’ve already purchased the audiobook, or vice versa. Look for these deals to save money.

6. Customize narration speed: If you’re a fast reader, you can speed up the narration of an audiobook to 2x or even 3x using the Audible app. This will allow you to get through more books in less time.

7. Take advantage of membership benefits: Audible members get a number of benefits, including exclusive discounts and access to members-only sales. Make sure to take advantage of these benefits to get the most out of your membership.

Getting the most out of Audible takes a little effort, but it’s worth it. By using these tips, you can make your audiobook experience more enjoyable and save money on books. Happy listening!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech.
