Animal Crossing: New Horizons – How to get gyroids

Introduction:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life simulation game where players can create and customize their own island paradise. Among the many items to collect and activities to enjoy, one of the most interesting additions to the game is the introduction of gyroids. These fascinating creatures not only provide entertainment but can also bring a touch of creativity to your island. In this article, we’ll explore how to obtain gyroids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Step 1: Wait for Rainy Weather

The first step to finding gyroids is to wait for rainy weather on your island. As these unique creatures tend to appear after a rainstorm, keep an eye on the weather forecast and make sure you’re prepared when it starts pouring down.

Step 2: Search for Buried Fragments

Once it has rained, search for buried fragments on your island. These fragments will appear as small cracks in the ground, similar to fossil spots. To dig up these fragments, simply equip your shovel and aim it at the crack.

Step 3: Brewster’s Gyroid Farm

After acquiring an invitation from Kapp’n at the pier, you can venture off to a nearby island where Brewster’s Gyroid Farm resides. Once there, if Brewster is in his usual spot, he’ll give you one gyroid fragment as a souvenir. This is an excellent way to begin your gyroid collection.

Step 4: Planting and Growing Gyroids

Now that you have gyroid fragments in your possession, plant them in your inventory by burying them back into the ground with your shovel. Make sure there’s open space around the fragment for it to grow. Water the patch of dirt where you planted the fragment as if it was a flower using a watering can.

Step 5: Harvest Your Gyroids

After allowing approximately 24 hours for the gyroid to grow, return to the spot where you planted your fragment. If successful, a fully grown gyroid will have sprouted from the ground. Dig up your new gyroid, and it will automatically be added to your inventory.

Conclusion:

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, gyroids are fun, unique collectibles that add character and charm to your island. By following these simple steps, you can grow your very own gyroids and share them with your friends. Not only do they provide entertainment, but they also offer endless opportunities for creativity and customization. So get out there and start hunting for those elusive gyroid fragments!
