As any regular Windows user knows, creating a new folder can be a tedious task, especially when you need to create multiple folders at once. Doing this manually, one by one, can be time-consuming and frustrating. Fortunately, there are ways to create multiple folders at once in both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Here are some methods to try:

Method 1: Use Command Prompt

Command Prompt is a powerful tool in Windows that allows users to execute various commands. You can use it to create multiple folders at once too. Here’s how:

1. Open the Command Prompt by typing “cmd” in the search bar and clicking on “Command Prompt” or “Run as administrator” (if you’re an admin).

2. Navigate to the location where you want to create the folders. For example, if you want to create the folders inside the “Documents” folder, type “cd Documents” and press Enter.

3. Type the command “mkdir Folder1 Folder2 Folder3”, replace Folder1, Folder2, Folder3 with the names of the folders you want to create. You can also use as many folder names as you want. Press Enter to execute the command.

4. Check the location where you created the folders, and you should see all the folders created successfully.

Method 2: Use Windows Explorer

Windows Explorer is another option to create multiple folders at once in both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Here’s how:

1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location where you want to create the folders.

2. Right-click on the empty space and select “New folder”.

3. Give the folder a name, and then press the “Enter” key.

4. Repeat the process to create more folders.

Method 3: Use a Softwares

There are also third-party software options that allow users to create multiple folders at once. Here are some of the popular ones:

1. New Folder Wizard: This software is free and provides users with a wizard-style interface to create multiple folders at once. It has options to customize folder names, size, and attributes.

2. Batch Folders Creator: Batch Folders Creator is a paid software but offers a powerful and efficient way to create multiple folders quickly. It has options to include prefixes, suffixes, and incremental numbers in folder names.

3. Folder Creator: Folder Creator is a free and straightforward tool that allows users to create multiple folders quickly. It’s easy to use and requires no installation.

In conclusion, there are several ways to create multiple folders at once in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Whether you choose to use Command Prompt, Windows Explorer, or a third-party software, the key is to find the method that suits you best and to save time and improve your productivity.
