As a PowerPoint user, you may have experienced the need to hide and unhide certain slides from your presentation. This can be because you want to keep certain information hidden until a later time or for specific audience members. In this article, we will discuss how to hide and unhide a slide in PowerPoint.

Hiding a Slide in PowerPoint:

1. Open your PowerPoint presentation and select the slide that you want to hide.

2. From the Home tab, click on the “Arrange” button located in the “Drawing” group.

3. Select “Selection Pane” from the dropdown menu.

4. The Selection Pane will open on the right side of your PowerPoint window. Find the slide that you want to hide and click on the eye icon located next to it.

5. The eye icon will turn into an “X,” indicating that the slide is now hidden. The slide will not be visible during your presentation but will remain part of your slide deck.

Unhiding a Slide in PowerPoint:

1. To unhide a slide, click on the “Selection Pane” button again from the “Arrange” menu.

2. Locate the slide that you previously hid and click on the “X” icon.

3. The “X” icon will turn into the eye icon, indicating that the slide has been unhidden.

4. You can also access the “Selection Pane” by right-clicking on a slide and selecting “Selection Pane” from the dropdown menu.

Important Notes:

1. Keep in mind that hiding and unhiding slides will only affect the viewed presentation. The slide will remain in the slide deck in its original sequence.

2. It is also important to note that if any hyperlink or action is linked to the hidden slide, it will not work during the presentation.

3. Hiding a slide is an excellent way to keep your presentation organized and focused on specific points. It is essential to consider the flow of your presentation and to make sure that hiding a slide will not affect the overall content.

In Conclusion:

Hiding and unhiding a slide in PowerPoint is a useful tool to keep your presentation organized and focused. This feature is easy to access and can be done in a few simple steps. Just remember that hidden slides will not be viewable during the presentation, and hyperlinks or actions linked to the hidden slide will not work.
