Amazon Prime Video has become one of the most popular streaming services globally. But what if you’re a Chromecast user, and you want to watch your favorite movies and shows on your TV screen?

Unfortunately, Amazon Prime Video still does not support Chromecast natively. However, there are ways to stream Amazon Prime Video on your Chromecast.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to stream Amazon Prime on Chromecast.

Step 1: Set up your Chromecast

The first thing you need to do is to set up your Chromecast device. To do this, plug it into your TV’s HDMI port and connect it to a Wi-Fi network. Once you’ve done that, make sure that your mobile device or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.

Step 2: Download the Google Home app

To stream Amazon Prime Video on Chromecast, you need to download the Google Home app on your mobile device or computer. This app lets you set up and control your Chromecast from your device.

Step 3: Install Prime Video app on your mobile device

If you haven’t done this, download the Amazon Prime Video app on your mobile device. You can get it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Step 4: Open Prime Video app and connect to Chromecast

Once you have downloaded the Prime Video app, open it and sign in to your Amazon Prime account. Select the movie or TV show you want to watch and tap on the Chromecast icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 5: Choose your Chromecast device

If you have more than one Chromecast device, make sure to choose the one that’s connected to the TV you want to watch it on.

Step 6: Start casting

Once you’ve selected your Chromecast device, tap on “Cast” and sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite movie or TV show on your TV screen.

Note: The Google Home app is available on iOS and Android, while casting from a desktop computer is only available on Google Chrome.

In conclusion, streaming Amazon Prime Video on Chromecast may require a few extra steps, but it is undoubtedly worth the effort. With the above steps, you can now enjoy watching all your favorite movies and TV shows on the big screen without having to buy any other device. Just follow the instructions, and you’ll be on your way in no time.
