Florence Pugh has rapidly become one of Hollywood’s most enchanting and versatile actresses. With her remarkable range and profound depth in character portrayal, it’s not easy to rank her performances. Nevertheless, let’s explore the 10 best Florence Pugh movies, acknowledging that each role reflects a uniquely compelling facet of her talent.

1. “Little Women” (2019)- Pugh captivates as Amy March in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel. Her performance is both spirited and poignant, earning her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

2. “Midsommar” (2019) – As Dani Ardor, Pugh takes audiences on a harrowing journey through grief and a peculiar Swedish festival that becomes increasingly sinister. Her intense portrayal anchors the folk horror film by Ari Aster.

3. “Lady Macbeth” (2016) – This dark period drama features Pugh in a breakout role as Katherine Lester, a young bride who engages in an affair, leading to deadly consequences. Her powerful performance is startling and raw.

4. “Fighting with My Family” (2019) – In this more lighthearted fare, Pugh stars as real-life wrestler Saraya “Paige” Bevis. She brings genuine physicality and heart to this inspiring underdog tale about family and following your dreams.

5. “The Falling” (2014) – In Carol Morley’s psychological drama set in 1969 at an English girls’ school, Pugh demonstrates her talent early in her career, playing the rebellious Abbie Mortimer.

6. “Outlaw King” (2018) – Appearing alongside Chris Pine, Pugh portrays Elizabeth de Burgh in this historical action drama about Robert the Bruce’s fight for Scotland’s independence. Despite limited screen time, she leaves a lasting impression.

7. “King Lear” (2018) – Taking on Shakespearean drama, Pugh plays Cordelia in this TV adaptation featuring Anthony Hopkins as King Lear. Her interpretation adds emotional depth to the tragic character.

8. “The Commuter” (2018)- A departure from her more dramatic roles, Pugh enters the action-thriller genre alongside Liam Neeson, adding tension and intrigue as one of the mysterious figures on a train full of secrets.

9. “Malevolent” (2018) – In this horror film, Pugh plays Angela Sayers, who is part of a team pretending to be paranormal investigators for easy money until they encounter true supernatural forces.

10. “Marcella: Season 1 Episode 4” (2016) – Although not a feature film but worthy of mention is Pugh’s guest appearance in this British noir series where she delivers a compelling performance as the young mother Cara Thomas grappling with complex emotions.

Florence Pugh continues to choose projects that stretch her range and captivate audiences worldwide; therefore, any ranking is subject to change as her filmography expands with each new role she embodies.
