The 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric stands out in the electric vehicle (EV) market as a fun and practical option for those seeking to go green with their daily commute. With its eye-catching design and compact SUV body, the Kona Electric appeals to drivers looking for style and functionality.

At the heart of its allure is the impressive driving range. The 2019 Kona Electric offers an EPA-estimated range of 258 miles on a single charge, putting it at the forefront of the EV market in terms of distance capable without needing to plug in. This range is made possible by a 64 kWh lithium-ion battery which powers an electric motor producing 201 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain not only delivers ample range but also allows for brisk acceleration, adding to the vehicle’s engaging driving experience.

The Kona Electric’s regenerative braking system also plays a role in maximizing efficiency. Drivers can adjust the level of regenerative braking with paddles on the steering wheel, which can recharge the battery on the go and further extend the range.

Inside, occupants are treated to a modern interior that includes a seven-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, offering convenient access to navigation, calls, texts, and entertainment options. Safety is also a priority; Hyundai includes a suite of driver-assist features such as forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning.

Adding to its value, the Kona Electric benefits from various incentives and tax credits available for electric vehicles, making it an even more attractive choice financially.

In conclusion, the 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric checks many boxes for consumers interested in electric vehicles. It combines range capability, performance, style, and tech features all into one package that’s not just functional but also exciting to drive – setting a high bar for what can be expected from an EV.
