4 Ways to Make Yum Yum Sauce

Introduction:

Yum Yum sauce, a popular condiment used in Japanese hibachi restaurants, has become increasingly popular for its delicious taste and versatility. Not only can you use it as a dipping sauce for your favorite dishes, but also as a salad dressing, sandwich spread or even as a marinade. In this article, we will explore four different ways you can make Yum Yum Sauce at home to suit your personal preferences and dietary needs.

1. Classic Yum Yum Sauce

Ingredients:

– 1 cup mayonnaise

– 3 tablespoons sugar

– 3 tablespoons ketchup

– 3 tablespoons rice vinegar

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well until smooth. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Refrigerate the sauce for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together.

2. Spicy Yum Yum Sauce

Ingredients:

– 1 cup mayonnaise

– 3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

– 2 tablespoons sugar

– 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

– 1 tablespoon melted butter

– ½ teaspoon garlic powder

– ½ teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and whisk until smooth. For more heat, add more Sriracha sauce according to your liking. Refrigerate the sauce for an hour before serving.

3. Vegan Yum Yum Sauce

Ingredients:

– 1 cup vegan mayonnaise

– 3 tablespoons agave syrup

– 3 tablespoons ketchup

– 3 tablespoons rice vinegar

– 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter or coconut oil

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Refrigerate for at least an hour for the flavors to blend well.

4. Yum Yum Sauce with Greek Yogurt

Ingredients:

– 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt

– 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

– 3 tablespoons sugar

– 3 tablespoons ketchup

– 3 tablespoons rice vinegar

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

Combine the Greek yogurt with the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until well combined. Adjust sweetness and seasoning as desired. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
