Curriculum review can sometimes feel monotonous and repetitive for both students and teachers. To inject some excitement into the learning process, here are 12 super creative curriculum review games and ideas that will engage students, inspire learning, and make reviewing concepts a fun experience.

1. Jeopardy: Transform the popular game show into a curriculum review activity. Divide the class into teams and have them answer questions from different subject areas.

2. Escape Room: Create an escape room experience where students have to solve puzzles and find clues related to the curriculum. This interactive game will challenge their knowledge and teamwork skills.

3. Kahoot! Quizzes: Use the popular online platform Kahoot! to create interactive quizzes that students can answer using their smartphones or tablets. This competitive game-style review will keep students engaged and motivated.

4. Bingo Review: Create custom bingo cards with curriculum-related terms and definitions. Call out the definitions, and students mark the corresponding terms on their cards. The first one to get a complete line shouts “bingo!”

5. Gallery Walk: Set up stations around the classroom, each focusing on a different concept. Students rotate through the stations, writing down key information or answering questions related to the topic.

6. Curriculum Trivia: Host a trivia game where students compete to answer questions about the curriculum. Offer small prizes or bonus points to make it more engaging.

7. Musical Chairs Review: Set up chairs in a circle, with each chair labeled with a curriculum-related term. Play music and have students walk around the chairs. When the music stops, they have to find the chair with a matching definition.

8. Scavenger Hunt: Create a curriculum-themed scavenger hunt where students have to find and solve clues hidden throughout the classroom or school. This activity encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

9. Pictionary Review: Divide the class into teams and have them draw curriculum-related terms or concepts. The team that guesses correctly earns a point. This game helps reinforce visual learning and memory recall.

10. Role-Playing Games: Create scenarios or role-playing activities where students have to apply the concepts they’ve learned. This hands-on approach helps reinforce understanding and critical thinking.

11. App-Based Quizzes: Explore educational apps that offer interactive quizzes aligned with the curriculum. Let students use their devices to engage in self-paced review games.

12. Quiz Bowl: Organize a quiz bowl competition where students compete in teams to answer curriculum-related questions. This fast-paced game adds an element of excitement and friendly competition to the review process.

These 12 super creative curriculum review games and ideas will transform the way students review and reinforce their learning. By incorporating interactive and engaging activities, educators can make curriculum review a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
