The Samsung Galaxy A51 is a mid-range smartphone that was released in December 2019 as part of Samsung’s popular Galaxy A series. It offers an impressive range of features that cater to the needs of its target audience, providing a high-quality user experience at an affordable price. This review will examine the A51’s design, display, performance, camera, and battery life to give readers a comprehensive understanding of what to expect from this device.

Design

The Galaxy A51 sports a sleek design that combines a plastic frame with a glossy glass back for a premium look and feel. The smartphone is available in four different colors: Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Blue, and Prism Crush Pink. Weighing 172 grams and measuring 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9 mm, it is both lightweight and easy to grip in one hand.

Display

The A51 features a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of ~405 PPI. The screen-to-body ratio is an impressive 87.4%, giving users an immersive viewing experience for watching videos or playing games. Additionally, the display supports the Widevine L1 DRM certification, which allows users to stream HD content on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Performance

Under the hood, the Galaxy A51 is powered by the Exynos 9611 octa-core processor paired with either 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD). This device runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.5 skin on top, making multitasking smooth and fluid. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for secure and convenient unlocking of the device.

Camera

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A51 with a versatile quad-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 48 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5 MP macro lens, and a 5 MP depth sensor. This array allows users to capture detailed shots in various lighting conditions, with additional features like night mode further enhancing photographic capabilities. The front-facing camera comes with a 32 MP sensor that delivers crisp and vibrant selfies.

Battery Life

The A51 boasts a generous 4,000 mAh battery that should easily last an entire day of moderate to heavy usage. It also supports 15W fast charging via USB Type-C, allowing users to quickly juice up their device on the go.

Conclusion

The Samsung Galaxy A51 offers a compelling package for those seeking an affordable mid-range smartphone that doesn’t compromise on features or performance. Its sleek design, impressive display, smooth performance, versatile camera setup, and satisfactory battery life make it an attractive choice for people who want quality without breaking the bank.
