Instagram video chat is a great way to connect with friends, family, and followers on the popular social media platform. With this feature, you can have real-time conversations with people from all over the world without ever leaving the app. In this article, we will outline how to use Instagram video chat.

Step 1:

Update Your Instagram App Before you can use Instagram video chat, you need to make sure that your app is up to date. To do this, simply go to your app store and check for updates. If there is an update available, download and install it.

Step 2:

Start a Direct Message To start a video chat, you need to first start a direct message with the person you want to chat with. To do this, go to your inbox and click the paper airplane icon in the top right corner. Then, select the person you want to chat with from your list of followers or search for them using their username.

Step 3:

Initiate the Video Chat Once you are in the direct message with the person you want to chat with, you can initiate the video chat by clicking the camera icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will send a video chat request to the other person, and they will have to accept it in order to start the chat.

Step 4:

Use the Video Chat Features Once the video chat has started, you can use a variety of features to enhance your conversation. For example, you can tap the screen to add filters, use the microphone icon to turn your audio on and off, and the camera icon to switch between front and rear-facing cameras.

Step 5:

End the Video Chat When you are finished with your video chat, simply click the red phone icon in the bottom center of the screen to end the call. You can also use the mute button to turn off your audio or the camera icon to turn off your video during the call.

In conclusion, Instagram video chat is a fun and easy way to connect with people on the platform. By following these simple steps, you can start having video chats with your friends, family, and followers in no time.
