Many people may not know this, but it is possible to use a mouse with an iPad. This can be incredibly useful for those who prefer using a mouse over a touch screen or for those who need to use a mouse for more precise movements.

Here are the steps to use a mouse with an iPad:

1.Make sure your iPad is updated to the latest version of iOS. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

2.Connect your mouse to your iPad using a USB-C to USB adapter or a Lightning to USB adapter, depending on what type of port your iPad has. These adapters can be purchased from Apple or other retailers.

3.Once your mouse is connected, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch. Toggle AssistiveTouch on.

4.Under the Custom Actions section, select “Single-Tap.” Then, select “Mouse.”

5.You can now use your mouse with your iPad. Move the cursor around by moving the mouse, and click by pressing the left button on the mouse.

6.If you want to customize the speed of the cursor or the click speed, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Cursor > Customize Additional Buttons. Here, you can adjust the cursor speed and click speed to your liking.

Using a mouse with an iPad can greatly enhance your productivity and ease of use. While it may take a little bit of setup, it is a straightforward process that can be done in just a few minutes. Give it a try and see if it works for you!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
