In today’s interconnected world, where social media platforms are ubiquitous and instant gratification is the norm, sometimes we all need a refuge from the noise. Enter BBjess, a streamer who is using Twitch to offer Generation Z a place of respite.

BBjess, whose real name is Jessica, hails from the United Kingdom and has been streaming on Twitch since 2016. Her stream is unique in that it offers a positive and affirming atmosphere for young people to gather and engage with one another. Jessica’s stream is all about inclusivity, and she prides herself on fostering a safe space for her fans.

It’s no secret that the internet can sometimes be a hostile and unwelcoming place, especially for young people. With social media trolls and cyberbullying on the rise, it’s refreshing to see someone like BBjess using their platform to make a positive impact. Her stream is a space where young people can feel comfortable being themselves, regardless of their gender, sexuality, or background.

In addition to her welcoming personality, BBjess is also known for her engaging content. While she primarily streams gameplays of popular titles like “League of Legends” and “Valorant,” she also hosts challenge streams and interactive Q&A sessions with her fans. Her streams are more than just entertainment; they offer a sense of community and belonging that is hard to find elsewhere on the internet.

There’s no doubt that Gen Z has faced a unique set of challenges in today’s increasingly digital world. But in BBjess, they’ve found a refuge. Her stream is a reminder that the internet doesn’t have to be a negative place. With a little positivity and inclusivity, we can all make the online world a better place.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
