Gamma settings are essential for every PC user, as they enable us to adjust the brightness and contrast of our screens. With the right gamma settings, you get to have the best visual experience, whether you are watching a movie, browsing the internet, or working.

On Windows 10 and 11, you can easily change the gamma settings to match your preferences. In this article, we will show you how to customize your gamma settings on your Windows PC.

Method 1: Using Windows 10/11 Built-in Display Settings

1. Open Display Settings. Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Display settings. Alternatively, go to Settings > System > Display.

2. Scroll down the page and click on Advanced Display Settings.

3. Scroll down again and click on Display Adapter Properties.

4. Click on the Monitor tab.

5. Under the Monitor Settings section, you will see the Screen refresh rate, Screen resolution, and Color depth options. Click on the Colors dropdown menu.

6. Select True Color (32 bit) from the list.

7. Now, click on the Tab that says the Color Management.

8. In this window, select the Display that you want to adjust the gamma settings for.

9. Now, click on the Properties tab and then click on the Advanced tab.

10. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a button called Calibrate Display. Click on it.

11. This will open the Display Color Calibration tool. Follow the on-screen instructions to adjust your gamma settings to your liking.

Method 2: Using Graphics Control Panel

1. Open the Graphics Control Panel. Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Graphics Properties. This will open the Intel Graphics Control Panel if you have an Intel graphics card. For other graphics cards, you can open the graphics control panel from the system tray or by searching for it in the Start menu.

2. Select the Display tab.

3. Click on the Color Settings option.

4. Under the Brightness tab, you will see the Gamma slider. Move the slider to the left or right to adjust the gamma settings.

5. You can also adjust the Contrast, and Saturation sliders for further fine-tuning of the visuals.

6. Once you are done, click on Apply to save your changes.

In conclusion, adjusting your gamma settings is essential for optimizing your visuals. By following the steps outlined above, you can easily tweak your settings to your preferences. Remember to take regular breaks when using your PC to protect your eyes from strain.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
