TikTok is an incredibly addictive social media platform that has taken the world by storm. The platform’s For You page is the first page that users see when they open the app. It is filled with content that is personalized to each user’s preferences, such as videos from accounts that they follow or videos that are similar to the ones they have liked in the past.

However, there may be a reason why you want to reset your TikTok For You page. Perhaps you are tired of seeing the same types of content, or your page has become cluttered with videos that do not interest you. Whatever the reason, resetting your For You page can be a great way to start fresh and discover new content.

Here is how you can reset your TikTok For You page:

1. Clear your TikTok history

The first step to resetting your TikTok For You page is to clear your watch history. To do this, go to your profile page and select the three dots in the top right-hand corner. From there, select “Privacy and Safety” and then “Clear Watch History.” Once you have cleared your history, TikTok will no longer be using your past activity to personalize your For You page.

2. Refine your interests

TikTok lets you personalize your For You page by selecting interests that you are interested in. To do this, go to your profile page and select the three dots in the top right-hand corner. From there, select “Content Preferences” and then select the topics that you are interested in. TikTok will use your preferences to personalize your For You page with content that you are more likely to enjoy.

3. Follow new accounts

One of the easiest ways to reset your For You page is by following new accounts. TikTok will use the activity from the accounts that you follow to personalize your For You page. By following new accounts with content that you are interested in, you can help TikTok discover new content that you will enjoy.

4. Engage with new content

Finally, engaging with new content is a great way to reset your For You page. When you like or comment on a video, TikTok will use that activity to personalize your For You page. By engaging with new content, you can help TikTok discover new types of content that you will enjoy.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
