PDF or Portable Document Format is a popular file format used to distribute digital documents. Many PDF documents contain embedded images that can be extracted to use in other documents or projects. In this article, we will discuss how to extract images from a PDF and use them anywhere.

Step 1: Open the PDF file

To extract images from a PDF, you first need to open the PDF document using a PDF reader software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Right-click on the PDF file and select ‘Open With’ and then select Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Step 2: Export the images

Once the PDF file is open, go to ‘File’ and select ‘Export’. In the ‘Save As’ dialog box, select ‘Images’ under the ‘Save as type’ option. Choose the folder where you want to save the extracted images, and click on the ‘Save’ button.

Step 3: Choose image format

After saving the images, you need to choose the image format that you want to use in your project. JPEG or PNG formats are commonly used for images. To choose the image format, go to the folder where you saved the extracted images, right-click on the desired image, and select ‘Open With’. Select the image editor that you have on your computer, such as Microsoft Paint or Adobe Photoshop.

Step 4: Use the images

Once the image editor opens, you can crop, resize, or edit the image as per your requirement. Once the image is ready, save it and use it in your project or document.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
