As we approach the holiday season, bringing in some Christmas cheer to our homes is something we all look forward to. One way to add to the festivities is by making use of Alexa, Amazon’s intelligent personal assistant. In this article, we will discuss how you can turn Alexa into Santa Claus and have a jolly time.

1. Customize Alexa’s wake word to ‘Santa’

The wake word is the phrase that you use to wake up Alexa, and by default, it is set as ‘Alexa.’ However, you can customize it to ‘Santa’ and add to the Christmas spirit. To do this, launch the Alexa app and select the ‘Menu’ option. Next, tap ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Device Settings’ from the list. Select the device you want to change the wake word for, tap ‘Wake Word,’ and choose ‘Santa.’

2. Enable Christmas-themed skills

Alexa has a wide variety of skills that users can activate to add to their Christmas experience. You can enable skills such as ‘Christmas Carol Quiz,’ ‘Christmas Trivia,’ ‘Track Santa Claus,’ and ‘Santa Tracker’ to unlock a range of Christmas-themed activities.

3. Ask Alexa for Christmas-related answers

One of the fun things about Alexa is asking her questions and getting a quick response. During the holiday season, you can ask Alexa questions like, “Alexa, what is Santa’s favorite cookie?” or “Alexa, what is the history behind Christmas trees?” These responses can add to your knowledge and make for some lighthearted moments.

4. Set reminders or timers for festive activities

Alexa can help you keep track of your Christmas activities with reminders and timers. You can set up reminders for activities such as ‘baking Christmas cookies,’ ‘decorating the Christmas tree,’ or even ‘wrapping presents.’ You can also set up timers for activities such as ‘listening to Christmas music’ or ‘watching a Christmas movie.’

5. Have Alexa read Christmas stories

Another way to add to the Christmas mood is by having Alexa read Christmas stories to you and your family. From classics like ‘The Night Before Christmas’ to newer stories like ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,’ Alexa can read out stories for everyone to enjoy.

In conclusion, Alexa can be a great addition to your Christmas celebrations, and by following the steps mentioned above, you can turn her into Santa Claus and have some fun. With the right skills, reminders, and answers, Alexa can keep you in the festive mood throughout the holiday season.
