The iPad is not only a powerful tool, but it’s also a costly investment. As an iPad owner, one of the most important things to keep in mind is to take good care of its battery. A healthy battery life not only contributes to the overall performance of your device but also saves you from any potential headaches that come with a dead battery. If you’re wondering how to keep your iPad’s battery as healthy as possible, then here are some tricks to follow.

1. Adjust screen brightness

The screen brightness is often the number one culprit behind the battery drain on iPads. The brighter the screen, the more battery it takes. Therefore, make sure to adjust the screen brightness as low as possible without hampering your device’s usage.

2. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not in use

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth quickly eat up the battery life of any device, including iPads. If you’re not using either of the connectivity features, it’s best to shut them down.

3. Close unused apps

Apps that run in the background are known to consume battery life. To prevent this from happening, make it a habit to close any unused apps. You can do this by swiping up on the screen, and the apps will close instantly.

4. Use Airplane mode

When in low battery mode, turn on Airplane mode to conserve the battery. Airplane mode disables all connections, allowing your iPad to use less power.

5. Avoid extreme temperatures

Extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, can affect the battery health of your iPad. Keep your iPad in a cool and dry place, and avoid charging the device in direct sunlight or any hot surface.

6. Keep the battery charged between 20% and 80%

Keeping your iPad on charge all the time or letting it drain to 0% are not recommended ways to extend the battery’s life. Instead, make sure to keep the battery charged between 20% and 80%, which is considered the optimal range for battery health.

7. Turn off push notifications

Push notifications keep coming up on your screen, even when you’re not using your iPad. While these notifications are helpful, they also consume a lot of battery life. You can turn off push notifications by going to the Settings app and toggling them off.

8. Update your iPad regularly

Lastly, make sure to keep your iPad updated with the latest software version. Software updates often come with bug fixes and battery optimizations, keeping your iPad’s battery as healthy as possible.

In conclusion, there are lots of ways you can keep your iPad’s battery healthy, and it all comes down to your usage habits and maintenance. Make sure to follow these tips and tricks to prolong your iPad’s battery life and enjoy uninterrupted access to your favorite apps and feature.
