8 best face yogas to get rid of double chin

Face yoga has become a popular non-surgical method to address signs of aging and improve facial features. It involves performing exercises that target the muscles of the face, similar to how you would work out the muscles in other areas of the body. For those looking to reduce the appearance of a double chin, there’s good news. Here are eight effective face yogas that can help tone your chin area:

1.The Jaw Drop: Tilt your head towards the ceiling, keeping your lips relaxed. Open and close your mouth in a “chewing” motion. This exercise targets the muscles around your jawline.

2.The Pout Stretch: Stick out your lower lip as far as possible to form a pout, then lower your chin to your chest while keeping your back straight. This will stretch and strengthen muscles in your chin and neck.

3.The Ball Squeeze: Place a small ball under your chin (a soft silicone or stress ball works well), push down against it, and hold for a few seconds before releasing. Repeat this movement several times.

4.The Kiss Sky: Tilt your head back looking at the ceiling while sitting straight on a chair. Pucker up and make a kissing motion towards the ceiling to engage the neck muscles.

5.Neck Rolls: Sit or stand with good posture, roll your head slowly from one shoulder to the other in a smooth motion, keeping your shoulders down and relaxed.

6.Platysma Tone: Open your mouth slightly and pull your bottom lip tight over your teeth. Move your lower jaw up and down to engage the platysma muscle which runs from your jawline down to your shoulder.

7.The Giraffe: Place your fingertips on the top of your neck, look straight ahead, and stroke the skin downwards as you tilt your head back then bring it back forward.

8.The Lion’s Breath: Take a deep breath through the nose, then open wide both eyes and mouth, stick out the tongue as far as possible towards the chin, and exhale forcefully with a “ha” sound.

Consistency is key with face yoga; practicing these exercises daily can lead to noticeable results over time. Remember to maintain good technique for maximum efficacy and possibly combine them with other skincare routines for comprehensive facial care.
