The Indian cinema, with its myriad languages, offers a goldmine of thrillers that have earned critical acclaim and audience appreciation. The following is an article about the seven best thriller movies available in Hindi dubbed versions, from the gripping “Visaranai” to the intense “Aaranya Kaandam.”

1. Visaranai (Interrogation) – Directed by Vetrimaaran, “Visaranai” is a powerful representation of police brutality and judicial corruption. Based on true events, the film follows a group of Tamil migrants who are wrongfully detained and tortured by police for a crime they didn’t commit. The Hindi-dubbed version captures the sheer intensity of the narrative, making it accessible to a broader audience.

2. Drishyam – Nishikant Kamat’s “Drishyam” is a riveting tale of a man who goes to great lengths to protect his family. The story unfolds as he covers up a crime committed by his family and constructs an elaborate facade to mislead the police. Its tense narrative and clever plot twists keep viewers on edge throughout.

3. Andhadhun – Sriram Raghavan’s “Andhadhun” offers a darkly comedic yet thrilling experience as it tells the story of a blind pianist who becomes embroiled in a murder mystery. The plot’s unpredictable twists make it an exhilarating watch in any language, but its Hindi dub brings out the nuances of its wry humor.

4. Kahaani- Sujoy Ghosh’s “Kahaani” is set against the backdrop of Kolkata and involves a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband. As she delves into the city’s underbelly, she uncovers much more than she bargained for, leading to spine-chilling revelations.

5. Ugly – Anurag Kashyap’s “Ugly,” a film noir-style thriller, explores human frailties and darker instincts within an urban setting. Centered around the kidnapping of a young girl, the plot dives deep into the psyches of its flawed characters.

6. A Wednesday! – Neeraj Pandey’s “A Wednesday!” deals with common men caught in extraordinary situations. Focusing on Mumbai’s police force and an everyman who orchestrates remarkable events to counter terrorism, it questions morality within societal frameworks.

7. Aaranya Kaandam (Jungle Chapter) – Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s “Aaranya Kaandam” brings forth a gritty gangster saga that intricately weaves multiple narratives into one cohesive plot. Often called India’s first neo-noir film, it showcases raw human emotions amidst violence and power struggles.

These seven films offer a tantalizing taste of India’s thriller genre, showcasing stories that combine intense plots, rich character development, and cultural diversity — all made more accessible through their Hindi dubs for wider appeal among non-native viewers.
