6 Ways to Download Any Video from Any Website for Free

Introduction:

If you want to store videos from your favorite websites to watch later or simply keep them in your collection, there are several free tools you can use. Here are six ways to help you download any video from any website for free.

1. Online Video Downloaders

There are many online video downloader websites available that allow you to paste a video URL and download the video instantly. Some popular choices are KeepVid, SaveFrom.net, and ClipConverter.cc. Just copy the video’s link, paste it into the website’s input field, select the desired quality/format, and click on the ‘Download’ button.

2. Browser Extensions

Browser extensions are another way to download videos easily. They add a button directly onto your browser toolbar, which allows you to download with just one click. Some popular browser extensions are Video DownloadHelper for Chrome and Firefox, and FastestTube for Opera and Safari browsers.

3. VLC Media Player

VLC Media Player is a versatile media player that also allows downloading videos from various websites. To do this, open VLC Media Player and click on ‘Media’-> ‘Open Network Stream.’ Paste the video URL in the input field and click ‘Play.’ From there, navigate to ‘Tools’-> ‘Codec Information,’ copy the stream URL at the bottom of the window, and paste it into your browser’s address bar. The video will start playing, at which point you can right-click and save it locally.

4. Third-Party Video Downloading Software

Many standalone software solutions allow you to download videos from different platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, etc. Some popular options include 4K Video Downloader, JDownloader, or Free YouTube Downloader. Install one of these programs on your PC or Mac, copy-paste the video URL into them, select your desired settings, and download the video file.

5. Screen Recording Software

Although not a conventional way of downloading videos, screen recording software can come in handy for capturing non-downloadable video content. Programs like OBS Studio, CamStudio, or Snagit allow you to record your screen activity during video playback. Just make sure the audio settings are set correctly to capture sound as well.

6. Download Videos on Mobile Devices

Downloading videos is not limited to PCs and laptops only; there are mobile apps that make it possible for Android and iOS users as well. Some popular apps include TubeMate Video Downloader for Android and Documents by Readdle for iOS. These apps let you browse your desired website, find the video you want to download, and save it to your device storage.

Conclusion:

There’s no need to limit yourself when you want to download videos from websites for free. Whether your preference is a convenient online tool, a dedicated software application, or an on-the-go app, you can easily find a method that suits your needs. Just be sure always to respect copyright laws and only download content you have the rights to use.
