Microsoft Edge has become a go-to browser for many users across various platforms, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. However, just like any other software, it can encounter issues that prevent it from working properly. This can be frustrating, especially if you rely on it for your daily internet activities. Fortunately, there are several fixes you can try to get Edge running smoothly again. Here are the six best fixes for Microsoft Edge not working on your Apple devices:

1. Check Your Internet Connection: It may seem obvious, but sometimes the problem might not be with Microsoft Edge, but with your internet connection. Ensure that your device is connected to the internet and that the signal is strong enough.

2. Update the Browser: Running outdated software can often lead to performance issues. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and the Mac App Store on your Mac, and check for any available updates for Microsoft Edge. Installing the latest version can fix bugs and improve stability.

3. Clear Browser Cache and Data: Over time, the cache and data accumulate and may cause the browser to malfunction. Go to Settings within Microsoft Edge and clear your browsing data, including cookies, cached images and files, and other site data.

4. Restart Your Device: This simple step can solve a myriad of problems by refreshing your device’s memory and closing background processes that could be interfering with Microsoft Edge.

5. Disable Browser Extensions (Mac): If you’re using Edge on a Mac with extensions installed, one of them might be causing the problem. Open Microsoft Edge, click on the three dots at the top right corner to open Settings, navigate to ‘Extensions’, and disable all extensions. If this resolves the issue, enable them one by one to identify which extension is problematic.

6. Reinstall Microsoft Edge: If none of the above methods work, uninstalling and then reinstalling the browser may be necessary. On an iPhone or iPad, press and hold the app icon until it jiggles , then tap ‘X’. For Mac users, move Microsoft Edge from the Applications folder to Trash to uninstall it.

Once uninstalled on either platform , download a fresh copy from the App Store or Mac App Store respectively .

When encountering a non-functioning app , it’s easy to become flustered , but try these fixes , starting with simpler solutions before moving onto more complex troubleshooting . With one of these methods , you’ll likely have Microsoft Edge up and running on your iPhone , iPad , or Mac in no time .
