Deleting a Duolingo account can seem daunting to some users, but with this guide, you’ll find that it’s actually quite simple. Follow these five easy ways to delete your account and free yourself from language learning obligations.

1. Using the Web Browser

To delete your Duolingo account on a web browser, follow these steps:

– Log in to your Duolingo account at www.duolingo.com.

– Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen.

– Select ‘Settings’ from the drop-down menu.

– Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page and click ‘Delete my account.’

– Confirm your decision by clicking on ‘Yes,’ and then provide your password when prompted.

2. Using the Android App

Deleting your account through the Duolingo Android app is just as simple:

– Open the Duolingo app on your Android device.

– Tap on the profile icon in the bottom-right corner.

– Choose ‘Settings’ by tapping on the gear icon.

– Scroll down until you find ‘Delete my account’ and tap on it.

– Confirm your decision and provide your password when prompted.

3. Using the iOS App

For iPhone or iPad users, deleting a Duolingo account is straightforward:

– Launch the Duolingo app on your iOS device.

– Tap on the profile icon located at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

– Select ‘Settings’ by tapping on the gear icon.

– Scroll down to find ‘Delete my account’ and tap on it.

– Confirm your decision and enter your password when prompted.

4. Contacting Duolingo Support

If you encounter any issues while following these steps or would like additional assistance, do not hesitate to contact Duolingo support:

– Visit support.duolingo.com and click ‘Contact us.’

– Choose ‘Account removal’ as the category of your issue.

– Provide the necessary information, including your email address, account name, and a brief description of the issue.

– Submit your request, and a member of the Duolingo support team will be in touch shortly.

5. Removal by Inactivity

Please note that Duolingo automatically removes accounts that have been inactive for over 12 months.

– To expedite this process, simply stop using your Duolingo account and wait patiently.

– Keep in mind that this method will not immediately delete your account, but it will eventually lead to removal.

In conclusion, deleting a Duolingo account is easy using any of these five methods. Choose the one that suits you best and bid farewell to language learning stress.
