Introduction:

Cannabis oil has become increasingly popular as more people turn to vaping for a discreet and convenient method of consuming cannabis. Making your own cannabis oil for vape pens not only saves you money, but also allows you to control the quality of the ingredients. In this article, we will explore four easy methods to make cannabis oil suited for your vape pen.

Method 1: The Alcohol-soaking Method

Ingredients:

– Cannabis buds (ground up)

– 190-proof grain alcohol

– Cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer

– Double boiler or saucepan

Steps:

1. Place the ground cannabis in a jar and cover it with alcohol, allowing it to soak for a few hours.

2. Drain the mixture through the cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer into a separate container.

3. Pour the collected liquid into the double boiler or saucepan and heat it on low until the alcohol evaporates, leaving behind the concentrated cannabis oil.

4. Remove from heat and let it cool before transferring the oil into your vape cartridge.

Method 2: The Rosin Press Technique

Ingredients:

– Cannabis buds

– Parchment paper

– Hair straightener

– Dab tool

Steps:

1. Preheat the hair straightener to its lowest setting (around 250°F).

2. Fold a piece of parchment paper in half and place a bud of cannabis in between.

3. Press the parchment paper containing the bud with the heated hair straightener for 3-5 seconds.

4. Open the parchment paper, and you should see a golden, resinous substance, which is rosin.

5. Use a dab tool to collect the rosin and transfer it into your vape cartridge.

Method 3: The Slow Cooker Method

Ingredients:

– Ground cannabis buds

– Vegetable glycerin

– Propylene glycol

– Slow cooker

Steps:

1. Combine equal parts of vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol in a slow cooker.

2. Add the ground cannabis buds to the mixture.

3. Cook on low for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally.

4. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove the plant matter.

5. Transfer the cannabis oil into your vape cartridge.

Method 4: The CO2 Extraction Method (advanced)

Ingredients:

– Ground cannabis buds

– CO2 extraction machine

Steps:

1. Purchase or rent a CO2 extraction machine, as this method requires specialized equipment.

2. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the extraction machine for proper use and safety.

3. Once the extraction is complete, you will have concentrated cannabis oil ready for your vape cartridge.

Conclusion:

These four methods provide various options for creating your own cannabis oil for vape pens. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, so it is essential to choose one that suits your skills and preferences. By making your own cannabis oil, you gain full control over its quality and potency, ensuring a safe and enjoyable vaping experience.
