3 Ways to Make Microwave Banana Bread

Bananas are always a go-to fruit for any health-conscious individual. They are not only healthy but also versatile, making them a popular choice for various culinary delights. One of the most loved treats made from bananas is banana bread. In this article, we will explore three different ways to make banana bread using a microwave, offering you a quick and easy alternative to traditional oven baking.

1. Classic Microwave Banana Bread

Ingredients:

– 1 ripe banana

– 1 egg

– 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter

– 1/4 cup sugar

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

– pinch of salt

Instructions:

1. Mash the banana in a microwave-safe bowl.

2. Add the egg, vegetable oil, and sugar to the bowl and mix well.

3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.

4. Pour the batter into a greased microwave-safe dish or mug.

5. Microwave on high for about 5 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

6. Let it cool before serving.

2. Chocolate Chip Microwave Banana Bread

Ingredients:

– 1 ripe banana

– 1 egg

– 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter

– 1/4 cup sugar

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

– pinch of salt

– 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Follow the same steps of Classic Microwave Banana Bread (above) until step 3.

2. Gently fold in chocolate chips into the batter.

3. Pour the batter into a greased microwave-safe dish or mug.

4. Microwave on high for about 5 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

5. Let it cool and enjoy this gooey, chocolaty delight.

3. Cinnamon Swirl Microwave Banana Bread

Ingredients:

– 1 ripe banana

– 1 egg

– 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter

– 1/4 cup sugar

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

– pinch of salt

– 1 tablespoon brown sugar

– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Instructions:

1. Follow the same steps of Classic Microwave Banana Bread (above) until step 3.

2. In a separate small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon powder.

3. Pour half of the batter into a greased microwave-safe dish or mug.

4. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture over the batter.

5. Pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.

6. Use a toothpick to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter gently.

7. Microwave on high for about 5 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

8. Let it cool and dive into this delicious cinnamon-infused treat.
