Introduction:

Lip balm containers are not only practical but can also be personalized to suit your style. Making your lip balm container is a creative way to express yourself while making sure your lip balm stays secure and fresh. In this article, we will explore three different ways to make your lip balm container using everyday materials.

1. Upcycling an Old Mint Container

One popular way to create a simple lip balm container is by reusing an old mint or candy tin. Here’s how:

Materials needed:

– An empty mint or candy tin

– Hot glue gun or heavy-duty adhesive

– Optional: decorative items such as stickers, paint, or washi tape

Instructions:

a) Clean and dry the tin thoroughly, removing any residue from the mints or candies.

b) If desired, decorate the outside of the tin with stickers, paint, or washi tape to add personality.

c) Use a hot glue gun or heavy-duty adhesive to attach a small strip of glue around the inside of the tin’s edge. This will help keep your lip balm in place when you put it in the container.

d) Allow the glue to dry before placing your lip balm inside.

2. DIY Cardboard Lip Balm Tube

Create an eco-friendly lip balm container with this easy cardboard tube method.

Materials needed:

– A cardboard toilet paper roll

– A piece of thin plastic sheet (such as a plastic sandwich bag)

– Glue

– Scissors

– Optional: washi tape or paint for decoration

Instructions:

a) Cut a small section off the cardboard roll, approximately 1-inch in length, creating a small cardboard tube.

b) Cut out a circle from the plastic sheet that’s slightly larger than the diameter of your cardboard tube.

c) Glue the plastic circle onto one end of the cardboard tube, leaving the other end open.

d) If desired, decorate the outside of the tube with washi tape or paint.

e) Allow to dry before placing your lip balm inside.

3. Repurposing a Small Cosmetics Container

If you have an empty cosmetics container, such as an used lip gloss pot or eyeshadow container, you can easily turn it into a handy lip balm container.

Materials needed:

– An empty cosmetic container

– Hot glue gun or heavy-duty adhesive

– Optional: decorative items such as stickers, paint, or washi tape

Instructions:

a) Clean and dry the empty cosmetic container thoroughly, removing any residue from the previous product.

b) If desired, decorate the outside of the container with paint, stickers, or washi tape to add personality.

c) Use a hot glue gun or heavy-duty adhesive to attach a small strip of glue around the inside edge of the container. This will help keep your lip balm in place when you put it in the container.

d) Allow the glue to dry before placing your lip balm inside.

Conclusion:

Creating your lip balm container is a fun way to express your unique style while keeping your lip balm fresh and secure. With these three simple methods, you’ll be able to craft custom lip balm containers that suit your needs using everyday materials. So go ahead and give it a try!
