Introduction

Medium layered hair offers a versatile and stylish look, but it can be challenging to create the perfect bun. Fear not! In this article, we will explore three different bun styles that are easy to achieve and suitable for medium layered hair. These styles are not only practical but also provide an elegant and fashionable appearance on various occasions.

1. The Messy Bun

This laid-back, chic style is perfect for a casual day out or when you’re running late and need a quick, stylish fix for your hair.

Instructions:

– Begin by spraying some texturizing spray throughout your hair to create added volume and texture.

– Gently tease your roots with a comb to generate additional lift.

– Gather your hair into a loose ponytail at the desired height of the bun.

– Twist the ponytail around itself, creating a circular shape. For a more relaxed look, let some layers naturally fall out of the bun.

– Secure the bun with bobby pins or a hairband.

– Tug lightly at specific sections of the bun to create a more voluminous appearance.

2. The Braided Bun

Ideal for more formal events, this elegant hairstyle combines the sophistication of a braid with the convenience of a bun.

Instructions:

– Create a side parting and separate an inch-wide section of hair from one side.

– Begin French braiding this section along your hairline until you reach your ear’s level. Then continue with a regular three-strand braid till the end and secure it with an elastic band.

– Pull the rest of your hair back into a low ponytail, incorporating the braided section.

– Twist the ponytail around itself to form a bun and secure it with bobby pins.

– For added texture and style, gently pull apart specific sections of your braid.

3. The Half-Up Bun

The half-up bun strikes a perfect balance between casual and stylish, making it an excellent choice for both formal and informal settings.

Instructions:

– Section the top half of your hair from ear to ear, leaving the bottom half down.

– Create a high ponytail with the top section and secure it with an elastic band.

– Twist the ponytail around itself to form a bun and anchor it with bobby pins.

– Using a wide-tooth comb, gently backcomb the bottom section to create volume and texture.

– For added charm, use a curling iron to add loose waves to the remaining layers.

Conclusion

Creating a bun in medium layered hair doesn’t have to be challenging or time-consuming. With these three easy-to-achieve styles, you can transform your look for any occasion. So go ahead and try out these versatile buns for your medium layered hair, and make heads turn!
