3 Ways to Have Fun With a Broken Arm

Introduction:

Having a broken arm can be quite a bummer, but it doesn’t have to keep you from enjoying yourself. Life goes on, and so should your pursuit of fun! In this article, we’ll explore three ways to have fun even when your arm is in a cast.

1. Explore New Hobbies:

A broken arm essentially forces you to use your non-dominant hand for most activities. This can be an opportunity to explore new hobbies that don’t require much use of your hands or only require one hand.

– Reading: Now is the perfect time to catch up on that ever-growing reading list! E-books can be especially useful since you can comfortably hold them in one hand.

– Listening to podcasts/audiobooks: If holding books isn’t feasible, opt for audiobooks or podcasts of fiction, non-fiction, or even educational courses.

– Learn a new language: Language learning apps such as Duolingo or Rosetta Stone can help you stay engaged and productive while mostly using one hand.

2. Multimedia Entertainment:

With just a few adjustments, video games and movies/TV shows are still easily accessible activities with a broken arm.

– Video games: Opt for games that are not too physically demanding and can be played with one hand. Turn-based strategy games, mobile games, or touch-friendly titles offer endless hours of fun.

– Movie/TV show marathons: Treat yourself to a marathon of your favorite movies or series that you’ve been meaning to watch. You might even discover some hidden gems!

3. Socialize and Connect:

Sometimes, the best way to distract yourself from pain is through positive interaction with others.

– Games night: Organize a game night at your home where friends and family bring card games, board games, or trivia that can be played with one hand. Laughter and friendly competition will act as a distraction from your broken arm.

– Video calls: Catch up with loved ones who live far away through video calls, or join online meetups and events to make new connections.

Conclusion:
A broken arm may temporarily limit your physical capabilities, but it doesn’t have to put a damper on your enjoyment of life. By exploring new hobbies, indulging in multimedia entertainment, and embracing social connections, you’ll find that fun is just around the corner. Keep your spirits high and give yourself time to heal; remember that this too shall pass.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
