Are you an Xfinity Internet user and keen on changing your WiFi password? Whether it’s because of security concerns or just the desire to have a personalized password, regularly updating your Xfinity WiFi password is a smart move. In this article, we will discuss three ways to change your Xfinity WiFi password quickly and easily.

1. Change Password via My Account:

The first method involves using the My Account app on your smartphone or browser. To do this, follow the steps below:

a. Log in to your Xfinity account at https://my.xfinity.com. If you’re using the mobile app, sign in with your username and password.

b. Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Settings’ tab.

c. Click on “Internet” in the left-hand menu and scroll down to locate your modem.

d. Click on “Change WiFi Settings.”

e. In the “WiFi Name & Password” section, enter your new desired WiFi password and click ‘Save’.

2. Change Password via the Xfinity xFi App:

Another convenient way to change your Xfinity WiFi password is by using the xFi app, available for both iOS and Android users.

a. Download and install the Xfinity xFi app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

b. Launch the app and sign in using your Xfinity username and password.

c. Tap on “Network” at the bottom of the screen.

d. Select “Edit WiFi” (the pencil icon) beside your current network name.

e. Update your password in the “Password” field and tap ‘Save’.

3. Change Password via Modem Admin Tool:

For users who prefer a more hands-on approach, you can change your Xfinity WiFi password via the modem’s admin tool by following these steps:

a. Open an Internet browser and navigate to the modem’s address, typically https://10.0.0.1.

b. Sign in using your modem’s administrator username and password (usually “admin” and “password,” unless you previously changed them).

c. Navigate to the “Gateway > Connection >WiFi” menu.

d. Click on “Edit” next to your WiFi network name.

e. In the “Password” field, enter your new desired password and click ‘Save’.

Remember, it’s important to create a strong, unique, and secure password for your Xfinity WiFi network. Make sure it contains a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters for optimum security.

By following any of these three methods mentioned above, you can easily change your Xfinity WiFi password and ensure the security of your home network. Regularly updating your WiFi password reduces the risk of unauthorized access and keeps your devices safe from potential threats.
