Rotating a YouTube video can be useful for fixing the orientation of a sideways or upside-down video, making the viewing experience more enjoyable. It’s important to remember that once a video is successfully edited and rotated, viewers will see the corrected orientation. In this article, we will explore three simple ways to rotate YouTube videos.

1. Use YouTube Studio Editor

The built-in YouTube Studio editor makes it easy to rotate videos that have already been uploaded. Follow these steps:

a. Log in to your YouTube account and click on “YouTube Studio” at the top right corner.

b. Select “Content” from the left menu bar.

c. Choose the video you want to rotate, then click on the “Pencil” icon to edit.

d. Click on “Editor,” which is located in the left menu bar.

e. In the video timeline, select your clip. Dragging handles appear when hovering over ends of the clip.

f. Use either the “Rotate 90° clockwise” or “Rotate 90° counterclockwise” option, depending on your desired rotation direction.

g. Once satisfied with the rotation, click “Save” to finalize changes.

2. Use Third-Party Video Editing Software

There are numerous third-party video editing software options available that allow users to edit and rotate videos before uploading them to YouTube.

Some popular choices include:

– Adobe Premiere Pro: A professional video editing software allowing advanced effects and options for video rotation

– iMovie and Final Cut Pro: Mac-based software for editing and rotating videos

– Windows Movie Maker: A free Windows-based video editing program with basic rotation capabilities

Choose a suitable software according to your preference and needs, import your video and follow its specific instructions for rotating content before exporting and uploading it to YouTube.

3. Use Online Video Editors

Another convenient option for rotation is using online video editors:

– Clideo: Upload your video, rotate, and export it in your preferred format.

– RotateMyVideo: Simply upload your video, rotate, and download the rotated version.

– Kapwing: This versatile tool offers editing capabilities, including rotation. You can save the edited video and upload it to YouTube.

When using online video editors, be conscious of file sizes and potential privacy concerns, as you are uploading your footage to their servers.

In conclusion, rotating a YouTube video can be accomplished through YouTube Studio’s editor, third-party software or online editing tools. Regardless of the method chosen, a properly rotated video will improve viewers’ experience and make your content more polished and professional.
