3 Simple Ways to Clean a Round Hair Brush

Introduction:

A round hair brush is an essential tool for creating a variety of hairstyles. However, just like every hairbrush, it needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain its effectiveness and ensure you’re not brushing dirt and debris back into your hair. Here are three simple ways to clean your round hair brush to keep it in top shape.

1. Manual Cleaning with Hair Pick and Water:

One efficient way to clean your round hair brush is by manually removing the hair and dirt buildup.

– Use a hair pick or tail comb and insert it in between the bristles of the round brush. Gently lift out the trapped hair by running the pick through the bristles from one end to another.

– Once you’ve removed the majority of the hair, rinse your brush thoroughly under running warm water. It’s alright if few hairs remain on the bristles; they’ll come out as you rinse.

– If necessary, gently scrub the brush with mild soap or shampoo to remove any residue.

– Shake off excess water from your brush and let it air dry, lying on its side or laying bristles down on a soft towel.

2. Soak and Scrub Method:

Another effective method is soaking your round hair brush in water with detergent or baking soda.

– Prepare a solution of warm water mixed with either mild detergent or 1 teaspoon of baking soda per cup of water in a container large enough to fit your round hair brush.

– Place your brush into the container, ensuring that it’s submerged completely in the solution. Allow it to soak for 15-30 minutes.

– After soaking, use an old toothbrush to scrub the bristles gently. It will help remove all lingering lint, dust, and stubborn product buildup.

– Rinse the brush well with clean water until there are no soap suds left.

– Gently shake off excess water and allow your brush to air dry on a towel or drying rack.

3. Washing Machine Hack:

For those seeking a quick and hands-free cleaning option, the washing machine can also be used to clean your round hair brush.

– Place your round hair brush in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase and securely close it. This is to prevent it from getting damaged or damaging other laundry items.

– Add the bag containing the brush to a small load of laundry, and use mild detergent and cold water.

– Once the cycle is complete, remove the brush from the laundry bag and shake off excess water.

– Let the brush air dry on a towel or drying rack, ensuring proper ventilation for all bristles.

Conclusion:

Regular cleaning of your round hair brush will sure enhance its longevity and maintain optimum performance. With these three simple ways—manual cleaning, soaking, and washing machine methods—you can keep your favorite round hair brush free from debris and ready-made for styling!
