Introduction

Microsoft Edge notifications can be helpful when you want to stay updated on the latest news, reminders, and messages. However, these pop-ups can sometimes be distracting or unwanted. In this article, we will discuss three easy ways to remove or disable Microsoft Edge notifications on your computer.

1. Disable Website Notifications

Some websites may continuously prompt you to allow notifications for their content. To stop receiving such notifications from a specific website, follow these steps:

a. Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to the website that is sending unwanted notifications.

b. Click on the padlock icon located in the address bar.

c. A dropdown menu will appear with various settings options. Look for “Notifications” and click on it.

d. Change the setting from “Allow” to “Block” and close the menu.

e. Refresh the webpage to apply the changes.

By blocking notifications, you will no longer receive push alerts from that particular website.

2. Turn Off All Notifications in Edge Settings

If you wish to turn off all notifications from Microsoft Edge, you can do so by using the browser’s settings:

a. Launch Microsoft Edge and click on the three horizontal dots in the top right corner of your window.

b. Choose “Settings” from the dropdown menu.

c. Scroll down to the “Notifications” section by clicking on “Cookies & site permissions.”

d. Toggle off “Ask before sending (recommended)” under “Notifications.”

e. This will block any future notification requests from websites.

3. Disable Notifications from Windows Settings

For those using Windows 10 or later, you can disable Microsoft Edge’s notifications directly through Windows Settings:

a. Click on the ‘Start’ button and type ‘Settings’ then press Enter.

b. Choose “System” from the main settings window.

c. On the left side panel, click on “Notifications & Actions.”

d. Look for “Microsoft Edge” in the list of senders who can send notifications.

e. Turn off the toggle switch next to “Microsoft Edge.”

By following this method, you will no longer receive any notifications from Microsoft Edge on your computer.

Conclusion

Edge notifications can often become a nuisance if you are trying to focus on your work or web browsing experience. The three simple methods mentioned above should help you effectively manage and remove Microsoft Edge notifications, allowing for a more focused and peaceful online experience.
