The 2025 Ford Explorer, a staple in the midsize SUV segment, is expected to continue offering a balance of comfort, capability, and technology.

Design and Styling

For 2025, the Explorer may receive minor styling updates to keep it fresh in the competitive midsize SUV market. Expect refined exterior details and potentially new wheel designs or color options.

Powertrain Options

The Explorer is likely to continue offering a range of powertrain options:

  1. 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder (base engine)
  2. 3.0L EcoBoost V6 (for higher trims)
  3. Hybrid powertrain

There’s a possibility of expanded hybrid offerings or even a plug-in hybrid variant to improve fuel efficiency across the lineup.

Interior and Technology

The Explorer’s interior will continue to offer three rows of seating with room for up to seven passengers. Technology updates may include:

  • Latest version of the SYNC infotainment system
  • Enhanced driver assistance features
  • Improved connectivity options, potentially including 5G capability

Trim Levels

The Explorer typically offers a wide range of trim levels to suit different needs and budgets, from the base model to the luxurious Platinum and performance-oriented ST trims.

Conclusion

The 2025 Ford Explorer is set to maintain its position as a versatile and capable midsize SUV. With its range of powertrain options, comfortable interior, and advanced technology features, it should continue to appeal to a wide range of buyers looking for a well-rounded family vehicle.
