The 2025 BMW i4 represents the continued evolution of BMW‘s commitment to electrification, offering a blend of the brand’s renowned driving dynamics with cutting-edge electric technology. This model year brings subtle refinements and technological advancements to the popular electric gran coupe.

Design and Features

The 2025 i4 maintains its sleek and sporty silhouette, embodying BMW‘s design language while incorporating distinctive elements that signify its electric nature. The signature kidney grille, now serving as a “intelligence panel” housing various sensors, has been refined for improved aerodynamics.

Inside, the i4 continues to offer a driver-focused cockpit with high-quality materials and finishes. The curved display, combining the digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen, has been updated with improved graphics and functionality. New sustainable material options have been introduced, catering to environmentally conscious buyers.

Performance and Powertrain

BMW offers the 2025 i4 in multiple variants:

  1. i4 eDrive35: Entry-level model with a single motor and rear-wheel drive
  2. i4 eDrive40: Balanced option with increased power and range
  3. i4 M50: High-performance variant with dual motors and all-wheel drive

The top-of-the-line i4 M50 now boasts improved performance figures, with 0-60 mph times dropping below 3.5 seconds. Range has been increased across all models, with the eDrive40 variant capable of up to 320 miles on a single charge.

BMW‘s commitment to driving dynamics is evident in the i4’s refined chassis and suspension setup. The 2025 model introduces an updated adaptive suspension system, providing an even better balance between comfort and sportiness.

Technology and Connectivity

The 2025 i4 features the latest version of BMW‘s iDrive system, with enhanced voice control, augmented reality navigation, and improved smartphone integration. Over-the-air updates ensure that the vehicle’s software remains current throughout its lifetime.

Charging capabilities have been improved, with faster DC fast charging speeds and more intelligent battery preconditioning. The i4 now supports plug-and-charge functionality at compatible charging stations, simplifying the charging process.

Safety and Driver Assistance

BMW has expanded the i4’s suite of driver assistance features. The Driving Assistant Professional package now offers more advanced semi-autonomous driving capabilities, including improved traffic jam assist and automated lane changes on highways.

Conclusion

The 2025 BMW i4 continues to impress as a versatile electric vehicle that doesn’t compromise on the driving experience BMW is known for. With its blend of performance, luxury, and technology, the i4 remains a strong contender in the premium electric sedan segment.
