2023 Toyota Crown First Drive Review: Equal Parts Weird and Normal

Headlining the automotive news in 2023 is Toyota’s newest offering, the redesigned Toyota Crown. After a brief stint behind the wheel, it’s clear that this automobile exemplifies a blend of the eccentric and familiar.

On the outside, the 2023 Toyota Crown assumes an appearance that is endearingly strange yet undeniably evocative. Its bold body lines and unapologetic grille design reveal a step away from Toyota’s usually restrained aesthetics. The Crown’s LED headlights slit-like configuration and its uniquely patterned front grille add a distinct dash of eccentricity to its facade. Yet, even with these unique features, the overall design impressively manages to maintain a comfortable sense of normalcy and familiarity that is quintessential to Toyota.

Sliding into the cabin, one relishes in a sophisticated infusion of classic appeal and state-of-the-art technology. A host of cutting-edge technological embellishments takes center stage while ensuring utmost driver comfort and convenience. A digital gauge cluster, head-up display, and an especially generous infotainment screen indicate Toyota’s commitment to modernizing its fleet without compromising on comfort and familiarity.

Powering this exemplar of unusual normalcy is a mystery hybrid powertrain – details about engine specifics remain scant as of now. However, during our first drive review, we could confirm that it offered laudable power delivery and robust performance on highways. Hustling it around corners confirmed that despite its enormity, handling remains agile, maintaining the driver’s confidence at all times.

Perhaps where the dichotomy between weirdness and normalcy manifests most vividly is in its driving experience. The Crown feels reassuringly familiar behind the wheel. Its responsive steering input, efficient braking system, and well-tuned suspension make for an unmistakably Toyota-like stable drive experience. Yet simultaneously, with advanced safety features like collision alert systems, lane assist technology, and self-parking capabilities – riding on this vehicle has an air of unexpected novelties.

Utilities wise – sizeable cargo space accompanies luxurious seating arrangements that emphasize comfort above all else; rear-seat occupants will find plenty of legroom along with verdant amenities like ambient lighting and climate control.

In conclusion, our first drive review suggests that the 2023 Toyota Crown straddles comfortably in between traditional expectations associated with Toyota cars and thrilling hints at where next-generation automotive design might be headed.

The ultimate result – the 2023 Toyota Crown: equal parts weird yet normal; wholly unforgettable!
